Tonya Staggs is the Executive Director for Historic Castalian Springs in Sumner County, Tennessee. She has been on the ground floor creating Historic Castalian Springs since the merger of the three state-run historic sites - Wynnewood, Cragfont, and Hawthorn Hill- in January 2020. Her vision is to create a successful, sustainable, engaging, and accessible public history experience for all, and she is actively achieving that goal.

Tonya is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, but she credits working in the field of historic house museums for nearly two decades as her actual degree. She was formally the Director of Education at Historic Travelers Rest in Nashville, Tennessee. She has received state and national awards for programs, social media, and exhibits. She is the Regional Chair of ALHFAM (Association of Living History Farms and Museums) and a member of the Historic House Museum Committee of AASLH (American Association for State and Local History).
