In 2014  after being diagnosed for rectal cancer my life  was forever changed when I underwent treatment that resulted in living  with an Ostomy. As a mother, grandmother and caregiver, I have shown incredible resilience, balancing  life while pursuing higher education in nursing and building two businesses.  My inspiring story is captured in my book called. I lived in the  what if I’m living in my now my journey through rectal cancer, where I share my challenges, triumphs, and lessons of perseverance.  Out of my  journey I founded New beginnings living with  a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support education and resources to ostomates and their families. The mission of New Beginnings is to empower individuals to embrace life confidently with an ostomy while raising   awareness, breaking  stigmas, and fostering a community  of compassion and understanding.  My life is proof that adversity can be transformed into purpose.   Through my work and advocacy, I continue to uplift and inspire, reminding others that new beginnings are always possible"
