Houston's Jazz Crooner with a Legacy to Uphold
Join us for a special evening celebrating the album release of Houston jazz vocalist and bassist Anthony Caceres - a artist with jazz royalty in his blood and a style all his own!
Anthony comes from a distinguished musical lineage - his grandfather, violinist Emilio Caceres, played with Jack Teagarden and Harry James, while his grand-uncle, Ernie Caceres, was one of the first great baritone-saxophonists and played with the original Glenn Miller Orchestra. Anthony himself toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra 65 years after his great uncle!:
A University of North Texas jazz studies graduate, Anthony is a rare talent who masterfully sings while simultaneously playing upright bass - a feat few artists can pull off. His rich baritone voice has been compared to Kurt Elling and Mark Murphy, yet critics agree he brings a fresh, distinct sound that's uniquely his own.
