Aboard the USS Enterprise, the most advanced starship ever built, a young and inexperienced crew sets out on its maiden voyage. Their mission quickly turns perilous when they cross paths with Nero (Eric Bana), a vengeful Romulan commander whose actions threaten the very future of mankind.
To stop him, a rebellious young officer, James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), must put aside his differences with the coolly logical Vulcan Spock (Zachary Quinto). Together, they must overcome their rivalry and unite to defeat Nero before time runs out.
