Learn sand casting techniques using delft clay. You'll learn how to form a proper mold in an aluminum ring. Choose from one of our wax carvings, bring one that you made (see our Wax Carving Basics workshop), or bring a found object (send a picture before class for approval). We will then melt down enough silver to cast your pendant. Afterwards, we'll saw off our sprue and use a combination of hand tools and the flex shaft to sand and polish. You'll leave with a stunning personalized pendant!

Skills: We'll go over mold making + proper ventilation. How to calculate the proper amount of silver and temperatures as well as different casting techniques. We'll also go over hand tools + flex shaft usage for finishing. This is an adult class 18+.

Prerequisite: None, but if you'd like to make your own personalized charm, we recommend starting with Wax Carving Basics.

Materials provided: All materials will be provided. If you would like to bring a found object, please reach out to creadesignsshop@gmail.com with a picture and dimensions.
