Take a creative break and learn the basics of handmade jewelry in this beginner-friendly earring making class. Designed for adults with little to no prior experience, this hands-on workshop will introduce you to the essential tools and techniques used to create simple, wearable earrings.
During the class, participants will learn how to safely and confidently use jewelry pliers to bend, cut, and shape wire. We’ll cover the purpose of each tool, common beginner tips and tricks, and how to avoid the most frequent mistakes—so you leave feeling capable, not overwhelmed. Because this is a hands-on craft, a bit of hand dexterity is required. We will also be using small beads, so bring your reader/magnifying glasses if you need them.
All supplies are provided, and you’ll follow step-by-step guidance to create a finished pair of earrings to take home. Tools will be supplied by the library for use during the class. By the end of the session, you’ll not only have a completed project, but also the foundational skills and confidence to continue exploring jewelry making on your own.
This is a relaxed, social workshop—perfect for anyone looking to learn a new skill, try something creative, and enjoy a productive, crafty break from their day.
