- **Event Description**: Notre Dame Catholic School is proud to host its ninth annual Field of Honor® flag event, paying tribute to our veterans and service men and women with a moving display of American flags. This amazing, patriotic display will consist of hundreds of American flags flying atop 8-foot poles on a field of green located in front of the school, November 7-16, 2025.   A Veteran's Day Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 14th at 9am. 

Visitors and volunteers from surrounding communities will experience an amazing display of patriotism! The flag display will be open to the public Friday, November 7th through Sunday, November 16th. 

The Healing Field National Foundation® was established in 2002 to honor the lives of those lost in the September 11th terrorist attacks. Since that time, communities across the country have participated in similar flag events. Our Veteran’s Day Field of Honor®, the only one in Florida, will pay tribute to local members of our armed forces (past and present) and also recognize men and women in our community who devote their lives to serving others. 

To participate in the Field of Honor®, you may purchase or sponsor a flag to be flown in honor or memory of a loved one who serves or served. If you don't know anyone personally you would like to recognize, your flag will fly in honor of all our troops and emergency personnel.   If you choose to purchase a flag, at the end of the weekend, the 3' x 5' flag and pole will be yours to keep. If you choose to sponsor a flag, Notre Dame will place the flag in storage until next year's Field of Honor.
