Learn fishing basics such as equipment use, fish species identification, fishing regulations & ethics. You’ll even get to try out some Junior Ranger Angler activities! All you need to bring is a positive attitude, weather-appropriate clothing and a water bottle!This event is open to all families and first-time anglers.A valid Wisconsin fishing license is required for all participants 16 and older. For more information about how to obtain a Wisconsin fishing license, visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Fishing/outreach/FishingLicensesMeet your instructor: October Yates is an avid outdoorsman throughout the midwest. He has been kayaking and fishing since his youth, and adventured up and down the coast from Washington to Alaska. He now resides in the St. Croix valley and has years of experience guiding people throughout his favorite places along the Riverway.Cancelation Information:For the safety of participants and staff, this program may be canceled due to inclement weather such as heavy rain and thunderstorms. Participants will be notified via email and event pages will be updated if the program is canceled.If you are not longer able to attend, please let us know so we can free up spots for others.
