About the Program: The MAC welcomes Spokane Authors for an engaging educational showcase designed for readers, writers, and aspiring authors of all experience levels. Through a series of short talks and displays, accomplished Spokane authors highlight practical knowledge, creative insight, and real-world guidance.

10:20-10:35  From Idea to Impact: Writing, Publishing, and Promoting Your Book, and the Role of AI in This Process -  Elena Smith

10:40-10:55  Assembling Your Writing Team - Sue Eller

11:00-11:15  Writing Memoir: Guidelines and Guardrails While Telling Our Truths - Gail Bergan

11:20-11:35  Adding Emotion, Body Language, and Inner Thoughts to Develop Empathetic and Relatable Characters - Sarah Vail

11:40-12:00  Q&amp;A

12-2 pm Following the presentations stick around to talk one-on-one with the presenters and other members of Spokane Authors. 

They'll have signed copies of their work available for sale and are happy to discuss their writing and publishing experiences.

About the Organization: Spokane Authors is a collective of local writers established in 1998 with a mission to share knowledge about alternative publishing methods and unite self-publishing and traditionally published authors. The group welcomes those interested in any aspect of writing and art--published and unpublished writers, artists, poets, journalists, illustrators, editors, publishers, printers, writing instructors, and marketers.
