Resilience hubs bring together strategies such as clean energy, disaster-resilient infrastructure, emergency preparedness, and community connection in one place.For our region, this conversation feels especially timely. Recent wildfires have had a devastating impact on communities throughout the Spokane area, underscoring the growing need to prepare for extreme weather events and strengthen the systems that support people before, during, and after a disaster. Dante’s work addresses this need by exploring how communities can create a network of prepared, adaptable spaces that provide support while also strengthening connections between neighbors, organizations, and local resources.Dante will also share insight into the Spokane Community Resilience Hub Network, which launched a pilot in 2025 and has grown to include eleven certified hubs throughout Spokane.
