These pieces will be kiln fired and ready to incorporate into your project during Part 2. Part 2 – Stained Glass Flower Suncatcher April 19 Discover the magic of stained glass in this hands-on, beginner-friendly class led by Heather. Using the fused glass pieces you created in Part 1, you'll build a beautiful stained glass flower suncatcher using the copper foil method (also known as the Tiffany technique). In this 3.5-hour session, you'll be guided step-by-step through the stained glass process while incorporating your fused glass into the design. What You'll Learn How to safely cut and shape glass, including tips for working with fused glass elements How to apply copper foil to each piece Soldering techniques to join your project together Application of a lead border Tips for patina and finishing touches 3D effects such as adding a fin and glass eye Project Details Participants will all create the same flower pattern. During class, you'll have the opportunity to select your own color palette from a curated variety of beautiful glass to complement the fused glass you created in Part 1.
