Our Brush on the Bluff event is back for its fifth consecutive year!
This free, family-friendly event celebrates art's deep roots in nature. On May 17th, from 10am-4pm, over thirty professional local artists will set up their easels on the bluff and draw inspiration from the natural beauty around them. The public is encouraged to walk the trail, meet the artists, and observe their work.
Our co-hosts, The Botanical Alchemists, will be hosting a kid's nature bracelet craft. Greenplay Northwest will be leading several art workshops for kids. In the past these have included rock painting, laminated petal bookmarks, painting flags, and sidewalk chalk.
There will also be food, games, and several conservation-minded local non-profits hosting education booths.
The artist's creations will be available for auction online during the event and until the evening of June 6th.
You can see the pieces in person and mingle with the artists at the Gallery Opening Event on May 24th 4-9pm and at the First Friday Event on June 6th (time TBD) at Spokane Art School.
All proceeds from the auction will go towards the artists, The Botanical Alchemists’ free community art workshops, and Friends of the Bluff's wildfire reduction efforts.
