ACT 2 classes are affordable because they are non-credit and state funded. ACT 2 is all about making sure exercise for the brain, the body, and socializing is within everyone’s reach, no matter the budget. Yes, ACT 2 programming does focus on the 50+ crowd THOUGH anyone 18+ are absolutely welcome to come dance with us!
Sandy's motto is: There’s no such thing as mistakes in line dancing, they’re called solos! And Sandy does solos all the time! We’re all human after all!
Step sheets and YouTube links shared for all dances taught so you could practice at home (if you wanted to). And of course Sandy will review dances taught the previous week before teaching a new one. We line dance to all kinds of music, not just country.
Recommend smooth soled shoes that you can slide in, do toe taps, and do the twist. Leather-soled cowboy boots and dance sneakers work, too.
For the Beginner class, no previous dance experience needed. This class will improve your balance and memory while having fun. I will teach AB (Absolute Beginner) and Beginner level dances. I will always suggest options so folks can change up the dance steps to satisfy what their body wants to do.
For the Beginner Plus class... If you already know at least 10 line dances and/or feel comfortable learning at least one new dance at every class, then this class is for you. Beginner Plus line dances are generally faster paced and/or have tags, tempo changes, restarts, etc. but no worries as Sandy will make sure that you are having fun while challenging your memory.
REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 5 Classes fill up FAAAST!!! So please don’t wait! And if you end up on the waiting list, no problem.. lots can happen between the time you get on the WL and October 21)
