Join us at Maker's Apothecary, the PNW's oldest and most experienced soap supply company, to unlock the craft of luxurious and personalized soap with our Intro to Cold Process Soap Making Workshop. In this hands-on class, participants will enter the world of saponification, learning the time-honored technique of cold process soap.

What to Expect - 

1. Safety First: Our expert instructors prioritize safety, guiding you through each step of the cold process method with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. From handling ingredients to mastering the art of lye solution, we ensure a secure and enjoyable learning environment.

2. Customization Mastery: Unleash your creativity as you customize your soap blend with an array of botanicals and fragrances. Whether you prefer soothing florals, invigorating citrus, or earthy spices, the choice is yours. Discover the art of creating unique soap recipes that cater to your individual preferences.

3. Hands-On Experience: Dive into the tactile world of soap making with hands-on experience. Feel the transformation of raw ingredients into a beautifully crafted soap as you mold, mix, and design your creation. Your instructor will be there to provide guidance and support throughout the entire process and you will go home feeling confident enough to repeat the process at home. Yes, even with the lye!

4. Take Home Your Creations: At the end of the workshop, you’ll proudly take home an entire loaf of handcrafted cold process artisan soap you created with your newfound skills. Share your personalized creations with friends and family or keep them as a delightful treat for yourself.

All supplies are included. The first evening of class is a 2-hour session where the soap is made. The next evening is a 1-hour session to finish the process. A 15% discount is given on purchases made in the shop on the first day of class. 

Due to insurance regulations we are unable to accommodate minors during soap making workshops where caustic materials are in use. Other workshops are open to minors, ages 12+, with a paid accompanying adult. Space is limited, only paid participants are allowed. Workshop fees are non-refundable. Workshops may be rescheduled ONCE without cost. Further rescheduling will incur a $25.00 fee, per occurrence. Due to limited seating, we request you reschedule at least 48 hours before a scheduled class. Failure to reschedule, or not attending, a workshop will result in forfeiture of fees. Maker's Apothecary will do everything within its power to maintain its workshop schedule but we must acknowledge that sometimes circumstances make it unavoidable. In the event a workshop must be rescheduled by Maker's Apothecary, it will be communicated to the email address and/or phone number provided at registration.
