This time we will start at 5 for those able to come a little early and bring food to share. We have bottled water and plates and napkins. If you are able bring something to share thank you and if you are not in a position to do this - it’s ok to just come and take part! Please label all homemade dishes with allergies and food sensitivity labels (dairy, nuts, meat etc) Let us sit and circle together and share a special ritual of give and take, then meet in the workshop and make two Beaded Snowflakes, one for you and one for a loved one! It’s the holiday season and unfortunately stress and anxiety are common right now. We want to help you welcome joy! Come join us in a night of celebrating the things that bring us joy. This is one of our favorite rituals - you are asked to join in by bringing something that has been special to you at some point, but it’s time to share this item, it no longer calls to you and you feel the need for it to go to someone else, this can be a crystal, jewelry, a nik-nak, what ever you may have that doesn’t call to you anymore. (Smaller than a basketball please) ✨We will gather in a circle and everyone will place their item on the center giving space. One person will start by choosing an item from the table of offerings. They can briefly explain why they were attracted to this item and then the person who donated the item can choose to share why they brought it, where it came from or what is special about it, and then the donator of that item gets to choose next. This event does not cost anyone anything and can create a beautiful feeling of joy for everyone included. After all items are claimed, we will go to the workshop and create two beaded Snowflakes ❄️ - we have the wire forms and beads and metal spacers. You are also welcome to bring beads for your own use or to share. The color ideas are endless! Make one for you and one to share with someone else! The cost of this Gurls Nite Art is $12 You might have noticed a change to our name Girls Nite Art is now Gurls Nite Art! GURL for our events is an acronym for -Gratitude -Unity- Respect - Laughter. Our events are open to everyone who wishes to come. The community we have created is full of magic and fun. Having a safe space with accepting humans around you is not easy to find. We do our best to create that atmosphere and add the element of creativity. These events are special in the way they are curated for a truly unique experience. We refer to these projects as soul-filled crafts and each nite is planned with a quick gathering in a circle for introductions, share a small snack, description of the craft we will do and a setting of intention. We then move to the workshop space and begin a open craft time where we can share experience, create a soul-ful craft and Have Fun! These are a BYOB event. We will have bottled water and a Kurig for hot drinks- and a small snack. Even though these are open to everyone and are a truly safe space for all, we still ask that young children stay at home - for a truly liberating experience, please only include daughters in their preteens and up. If you have a child that would feel comfortable and enjoy the space, bring them along. Come and join in a night of creativity, connection and fun. We present these events as a community of souls sharing Art and Soul - so we try to keep the cost down on GNA - the costs in these events are to directly offset the cost of supplies involved and classroom cost. ~If you are feeling called to be a part of one of these events but cannot afford it at this time, please reach out to us. We often have donations that can be used for scholarships. If at some time you feel called to donate to the scholarship program, there are many who appreciate it.
