One of the most common things I hear from beginning soap makers is, "I'm afraid of the lye."

Many soap making classes prepare the first batch of lye and soap batter for students, meaning they never get the opportunity to learn this important skill before they are sent home to make it for themselves. They leave with beautiful soap—but not the confidence to make it at home.

That's exactly why I created this workshop.

During this relaxed, hands-on class, every participant will prepare their own lye solution while learning proper safety procedures, workspace setup, measuring techniques, cleanup, and storage. We'll answer the questions you've always wanted to ask, share practical tips, discuss common mistakes, and help you feel comfortable with one of the most intimidating parts of soap making.
