This progressive performance takes you through downtown Spearfish, where you’ll visit different local businesses. At each location, enjoy a short play performed by local actors—each with its own flair, humor, and drama. TOTR is a fun a unique way to experience theater, which has made it one of our most popular events each year. A limited number of tickets are available, and the event has quickly sold out since 2012, so make sure to get yours early. This event is one you won’t want to miss! Tickets are only sold at The Matthews or online and must be purchased in advance. The participating venues are NOT selling tickets.A special Theater Running in Place performance will be held at the Opera House on Sunday, September 13th at 2 pm, where all acts will be performed on one stage.Tickets$30 per personLimited to 104 tickets per night (4 groups of 26) – these sell out fast!On sale starting August 17, 2026Venue LineupYour night will start at The Matthews Opera House, where you'll receive your program and route.
