At each mile, you’ll face a choice: LIBERTY or DEATH

• 10 ruck burpees

This isn’t just a workout. It’s a test of mindset. A reminder that growth doesn’t come from comfort. Show up ready to work. Ready to push. Ready to choose.

Meeting Location: Parking lot of Route 89 (close to Route 77 intersection) which is the bottom of the trail.

Distance: 5K or more (up to 6.1 miles)

Difficulty: Moderate

Weight: Your choice — but this one should challenge you! If you normally ruck 10# → go 20#. 20# → go 30#. 30# → go 45#

Cost: Free

Children and leashed pets are welcome.

Essentials to bring: Water, appropriate footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a positive attitude.

No ruck? No problem! Walkers are always welcome to join us with zero shame. Empty backpacks work too! We all carry different weights according to our personal fitness goals.

Rucking is a form of physical activity that involves walking with a loaded backpack (or ‘rucksack’) over various distances and terrains. (Plate carriers and sandbags are also welcome.) A moderate amount of added weight can produce the same stimulus and metabolic benefit as running, while also strengthening the legs and lower back. Rucking is similar to hiking and is often used as conditioning by backcountry hunters, endurance athletes, and those in the military and emergency services.
