Led by Professor Jonathan Storm of USC Upstate, this guided sunset walk will take participants along the beautiful Cottonwood Trail as we learn to identify local frogs and toads by both sight and sound. Along the way, we'll explore their unique behaviors, life cycles, and the important role amphibians play in our local ecosystems.

We'll walk at a relaxed pace, making frequent stops to listen for frog calls, observe wildlife, and enjoy the transition from sunset into twilight. Whether you're a lifelong nature enthusiast or simply curious about the sounds of a summer evening, this walk is a fun and engaging experience for all ages.

Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a flashlight. A flashlight with a red-light setting is preferred, as it is less disruptive to wildlife.

To give us the best chance of observing frogs and other wildlife, we ask that you leave your dogs at home for this event.
