Accelerating Men 5K Run/Walk

Join Accelerating Men for our 11th Annual 5K Run/Walk in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM). This meaningful community event will take place on Saturday, April 4th at the scenic Mary Black Rail Trail.

This annual 5K is more than a race—it’s a movement for awareness, healing, and action. Together, we stand in solidarity with survivors and work to end sexual violence and child abuse across the Upstate of South Carolina and surrounding communities.

• 🏃🏾‍♂️ 5K Run/Walk – Open to runners, walkers, families, teams, and first-time participants
• 💜 Awareness & Education – Learn about prevention, resources, and survivor support
• 🤝 Community Connection – Engage with advocates, partners, and local organizations
• 🎗️ Honoring Survivors – A moment of recognition for survivors and those impacted
• 👕 Event Shirts & Swag – Available while supplies last (registration dependent)

Proceeds from the 5K support Accelerating Men’s programs focused on:

• Prevention education
• Survivor advocacy and resources
• Community awareness initiatives
• Youth and men’s mentoring efforts that promote healthy, respectful relationships

• Register as a runner or walker
• Create a team or join an existing one
• Volunteer on event day
• Sponsor or donate to expand our impact

Come run, walk, or stand with us as we raise our voices and take steps toward ending sexual violence and child abuse—one mile, one conversation, and one community at a time.

Did you know 1 in 6 young men are sexually assault before the ages of 18. Help us bring more attention to this social issue.
