In the deep dark depths of a small woodland glade, a strange little girl discovers a golden crown hanging from a tree branch. 
Greedy to claim it for themselves, three threadbare fools try to scare the girl into surrendering her treasure: they spin a series of twisted tales depicting cursed kings, cheerless executioners, and bread-and-butter-worshipping-butlers. 
Yet, two unseen figures stand in the way of the scheming scallions as they watch on from the darkness: the spectre of Death - and a big, brown bear…

Originally winning the Minotaur Theatre Creative Writing Competition in 2014, Burnt Coffee Theatre Company are excited to welcome a new reworking of this Grimm and Grizzly comedy to the stage.
