- **Event Name**: SAX Community Fridge Drop-In
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 26 Sep, 2025 at 10:30 am – Fri, 26 Sep, 2025 at 11:30 am
- **Event Description**: This is a drop-in session to distribute FREE surplus food from local supermarkets, bakeries, greengrocers and farm shops to ANYONE who wants it. The items donated are bread products (often artisan bread), sometimes some vegetables and even cakes... These donations are items which are near or past their 'best before date' and which would otherwise have been thrown away. We often have surprises such as surplus vegetables from locals who own vegetable patches.

The weekly distribution sessions are held behind the Old Bank in Saxmundham (accessed via the alleyway between Jennie Jones and the Old Bank).

We are often offered random boxes of items from other food businesses, so each session by its nature is unpredictable. We are also a space for all to SHARE surplus allotment produce and unopened food items.

We offer FREE coffee and we actively encourage folk to stay for a while and chat. We want to engender a true community spirit around our space.

All we ask is that you take just what you can use. Note that there is no registration, subscription, or limit to your visits.

Please come and support this project against FOOD WASTE.
