Fay for an intimate three day gathering hosted at Professional Equine Services, Kneesall, Nottinghamshire. Internationally recognised for her work exploring the horse-human relationship, Dr Susan Fay brings together decades of experience as a horse trainer, rancher, psychologist and researcher. Author of the Amazon best-selling book Sacred Spaces, Susan’s work invites people to look beyond technique alone and explore the deeper elements that shape communication, relationship, emotional balance and connection between horse and human. Blending scientific understanding with practical experience and reflective practice, her teaching encourages participants to develop greater awareness of both themselves and their horses. This gathering is far more than a traditional clinic; across the three days, participants will be immersed in an environment of observation, discussion, practical exercises, reflection and shared learning. Whether attending with a horse as part of the gathering or joining as an immersive participant, all attendees will be actively involved in the educational process throughout the weekend. What to Expect Day 1 The first day will introduce Susan’s foundational principles and approach, including breath-work, awareness exercises and practical demonstrations with horses. This opening day is designed to create the framework for the deeper work and discussions that will unfold across the weekend. Days 2 & 3 Horse and handler participants will receive one individual session per day with Dr Susan Fay. Sessions may take place either in-hand or under saddle, depending on the needs of the horse and participant. Throughout the weekend, themes may include: emotional and mental balance recognising signs of stress, tension and trauma relationship and communication challenges improving awareness, presence and regulation understanding the influence of the human state on the horse The learning experience extends far beyond the individual sessions themselves. Immersion participants will be encouraged to engage with the discussions, practical exercises and reflective elements of the gathering. Observing multiple horses and handlers often provides some of the richest opportunities for insight, pattern recognition and deeper understanding. With intentionally limited numbers, the gathering is designed to foster a calm, supportive and collaborative atmosphere where participants have the space to ask questions, reflect and engage meaningfully with the process. Additional Opportunities Dr Susan Fay will also offer a limited number of private 1-to-1 sessions on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st August at Heavenly Hooves Track Livery. Attendance at Day 1 of the gathering is a mandatory prerequisite for private tuition and included within the private lesson fee. Private tuition participants are welcome to attend and observe all three days of the gathering should they wish. For participants attending either the gathering or private tuition, Susan will also host: - A preparatory Zoom call 7 days prior to the event - A follow-up Zoom session 4 weeks afterwards - Private tuition sessions are available with or without a horse.
