Armed Citizen Encounters

This course provides essential training in performance pistol shooting, integrating an in-depth
understanding of tactical anatomy in a dynamic 360º environment. Students will gain insight into the
physiological challenges faced during a lethal force encounter, including reaction times and mental processing speeds—critical factors in making effective tactical decisions.

The second component of this course focuses on life-saving medical interventions that may be
necessary after an armed engagement. Classroom instruction will incorporate elements from our
Guardian Medical Essentials curriculum, applying them to traumatic injuries sustained in such encounters. Even in a successful defensive shooting, the reality remains that the Armed Citizen or a loved one may sustain injuries.
