The Winter Solstice, heralding the longest night of the year, signifies a powerful moment of reflection and renewal. As we transition into the return of light, this time invites us to honor the past year, release what no longer serves us, and set intentions for growth and healing.
This experience will be held in a serene candlelit atmosphere, allowing participants to lay completely flat on comfortable floor cushions. Laying flat facilitates the natural flow of energy throughout the body, allowing for deeper connections with the earth and promoting optimal relaxation. This position encourages the release of tension, enabling energy to circulate freely and enhancing the effectiveness of the Reiki healing process.
Group Reiki led by Reiki Master Ashley Sapphire, combined with Kirtan led by Lisa Cote, offers a unique and transformative experience during the solstice. The gentle, restorative energy of Reiki promotes deep relaxation and emotional healing, while Kirtan, with its uplifting chants and musical vibrations, helps to quiet the mind and connect us to our inner selves.
Together, these practices foster a sense of community and shared intention, enhancing our ability to embrace the energy of renewal and setting the stage for a bright and empowered year ahead.
This workshop will also feature the transformative practice of Kirtan, where Sanskrit Mantra chanting is set to music. Led by Lisa Cote, who has been offering Kirtan since 2014, this practice quiets the mind and connects us to our soul’s song. The call-and-response format creates a sense of unity, while the guitars and harmonium enhance the energetic experience. We will begin the evening with a 30-minute mingle, featuring refreshing mocktails, providing the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow participants before we dive into an evening of healing and music.
