- **Event Description**: Leigh Tango exclusive! The fantastic Alejandro Hermida will be joining us on the weekend of 27 and 28th June for four exclusive workshops, in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex covering Tango, Milonga and Vals! These workshops are very popular so please secure your places asap. 

***Please note the workshops are at different venues on the Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's events take place at The Haven Community Hub, 138-140 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7LW and Sunday's workshops are at St Saviour's Church Hall in Chadwick Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 8LL.

Here’s our weekend schedule:

WORKSHOP PROGRAM:
Saturday:
11.30am to 1.00pm – Musicality
* Different ways to follow the rhythm
* Pauses
* Syncopations
* Elements for variation

1.00pm to 2.00pm – Lunch (please bring a packed lunch)

2.00pm to 3.30pm – Elements of the old milongueros 
* Different basic steps
* Colgadas, volcadas, and vaivenes from Portalea
* Pajarito elastic

6.30pm to 10.30pm – Milonga at The Haven Community Hub, 138-140 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7LW.

Sunday: 
1.15pm to 2.45pm – Milonga and candombe
* Basic milonga steps, rebounds
* Basic candombe (5 positions)
* Repiques

2.45pm to 3.15pm – Break

3.15pm to 4.45pm – Vals 
* Chains/sequences
* 3 and 4
* 5 and 6

HOW TO BOOK:
Book your place by emailing: leightango@hotmail.com or DM Samira.
Costs are £30 p/p for each workshop, so £120 p/p for the weekend and the Milonga is £15 p/p. If you are attending all 4 workshops the milonga is free!

WHERE:
Saturday Workshops and Milonga:
The Haven Community Hub, 138-140 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7LW. 
Car parking available at Hamlet Court Road Car Park (24 hrs, pay and display, RingGo app).
The venue is 2-3 mins walk from Westcliff train station, which has direct lines from West Ham, Barking and Fenchurch Street.

Sunday Workshops:
St Saviour’s Church Hall, Westcliff-on-Sea, SS0 8LL. Please note the hall is situated in Chadwick Road, next to the church. Parking is available in surrounding streets.
