Blank Slate: Pop & Politics

For ages 13 to 16 years only.

Join artist Elleanna Chapman for the next Blank Slate session! In this workshop, we will be exploring collage as a way to reclaim and reshape the stories around us. Drawing on their own experiences of navigating the art world from a working-class background, Elleanna will introduce their practice and share reflections on making space for your voice within cultural narratives.

The main part of the workshop will focus on making through collage. Using newspapers, political clippings, and images from pop culture, participants will experiment with cutting, layering, and remixing. Together we’ll explore how imagination can imprint new ideas onto existing celebrities, films, and stories—transforming familiar icons into something personal and political.

No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and an openness to play with images and ideas.
