Then we will go on a guided walk to Belfairs Nature Reserve and Hadleigh Great Wood, where you will gain identification skills for different plants and insects that hopefully help us spot some Heath Fritillary butterflies. Recommended for Adults and Teenagers, please note that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. We're really excited to share our W.O.W Week of Wildlife with you this May half-term - find more W.O.W events here! W.O.W Week of Wildlife EventsFAQs🎫 Who needs a ticket? This event is for adults and teenagers only. All attending adults and teenagers will require a ticket to attend. 📍Where do we meet?Meet outside the Nature Discovery Centre. Please allow time for parking. If you arrive later, further meeting point instructions will be sent before the event. 🥾What should we wear?Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them. 🌍Where are you based?We are located in Leigh-on-Sea, just off the A127 in Southend-on-Sea. We are also close to Rochford, Hadleigh, and Rayleigh.🚗Is there parking?Yes, we have two free car parks. The main car park is located within the main entrance but has limited spaces and is a short walk to the Nature Discovery Centre. The second car park is located behind The Inn at Belfairs pub on Eastwood Road North. The Nature Discovery Centre is approximately a 15-minute walk away from the second car park, straight through the woodland. Please allow enough time for parking when arriving for your event. 🚻Are there toilets?Yes.
