Fisher's background: An Emmy-winning broadcaster, actor, poet, and teacher
Activities: Hosts poetry workshops at the Ridgefield Library and has hosted events celebrating his own books

*** 3/8 - Guilford poet laureate Mark McQuire Schwartz
Appointment: McGuire-Schwartz was unanimously voted in by the Board of Selectmen in March 2024
Creative background: His work includes writing poetry in a new form he created called the "Seventeen," and he has been published in various journals. He has also written plays and published a chapbook titled Loss and Laughs, Love and Fauna.
Commitment to the community: He aims to engage with the town through poetry and has participated in events like the Guilford Poets Guild's Second Thursday Series.
