A Dance Platform with a twist! Hampshire Schools, a date for your School Calendar: 28th of April!
A few months back we put out a survey asking your opinion on what opportunities you would like for your students. Most of you said Dance Competition and some said Dance Platform so we've combined the best of both! Introducing our Dance Platforms, rather than a competition with places we will be presenting awards recognising hard work and dedication as well as performance. A list of these awards will be posted soon.
Each school can bring up to three dance pieces (max total: nine minutes), whether it’s classwork, extra-curricular, or student-led projects. All welcome, as long as it was choreographed at your School.
We’re also excited to be running a photography competition alongside the Dance Platform.
Teachers are welcome to bring along up to four photography students to capture moments from both the daytime and evening performances.
This is a fantastic cross-curricular opportunity, giving students a chance to gain real-world experience and develop their skills in a live event setting. Whether they’re studying photography in School or are enthusiastic amateurs eager to build their portfolio, this is a valuable chance to step into the role of a professional.
There will be a fee per student to cover the cost of production and this will be in our information book and on our registration form. Registration for our first event at The Point in Eastleigh opens Thursday the 9th of October. Any teachers in the area who expressed an interest and filled in the survey will be emailed before this date and offered early registration. Places are limited so please make sure you don't miss out!
