Josh Pugh
Josh Pugh is a Midlands‑born stand‑up who blends self‑deprecating honesty with surreal observational wit. A champion of multiple new‑act competitions (including Birmingham & Nottingham, 2015), he was named English Comedian of the Year in 2016 and went on to earn a best‑show nomination at the 2022 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
As well as storming the live circuit, Josh is a regular on Mock The Week, Hypothetical, and The Last Leg, and co-hosted Channel 4’s Paralympics coverage—bringing both heart and hilarity to prime-time TV.

Dan Evans
Dan Evans is a brilliantly off-beat comic whose uniquely twisted logic has been delighting audiences for over two decades. His surreal takes on everything from babysitting to baldness to the decline of Western civilisation have earned him a reputation as one of the circuit’s most inventive oddballs.
A highly respected comedy writer, Dan has penned material for Milton Jones, Mickey Flanagan, Zoe Lyons and Frankie Boyle, with TV and radio credits including Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Thanks a Lot, Milton Jones! and The Eleven O’Clock Show.

Eric Rushton
Eric Rushton is the winner of the 2020 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and the 2023 Channel 4 Sean Lock Comedy Award. His dry, surreal style and low-key delivery have made him one of the most exciting rising stars on the UK circuit. His latest show Real One earned big praise at the Edinburgh Fringe and on tour.

Colin Owens [compere]
Colin Owens is the charming chaos at the heart of Stand Up in the Basement. He’s been gigging across the UK comedy circuit since 2005, known for his dry delivery, laid-back style, and razor-sharp crowd work. Colin’s the glue that holds the night together setting the tone, warming up the room, and making sure no one gets too comfy in the front row.
