Why it’s required by law:

Under the EYFS statutory framework, at least one person with a full paediatric first aid certificate must be on site at all times when children are present, and must accompany children on outings.

Childminders, or assistants who may be left in sole charge of children for any time, must hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.

The Paediatric First Aid certification must be renewed every 3 years.
