Join the Dakota County Historical Society as we celebrate our accomplishments from 2025 and look forward to 2026. Prior to lunch, a cash bar will be available and attendees can explore the Historic Concord Exchange Building. A plated meal will be served, followed by our annual business meeting. After the business portion has concluded, a short presentation will explore the history of the stockyards in South St. Paul.

Registration for lunch for the annual meeting will close on January 16, 2026 so that the food order can be placed.

The Stockyards has played a special role in Dakota County's history, specifically for the community of South St. Paul. The Historic Concord Exchange building was built in 1887 and housed commission firms and other businesses associated with the adjacent stockyards. It also served as the town's first post office, the first bank, and much more. Learn about the history of the stockyards and this historic building, while having time to explore the building.
