- **Event Description**: Curious about stained glass feel intimidated by cutting glass? Looking for a basic class with a one-night commitment? 

This is the class for you!

In this class, you will take pre-cut glass and learn how to apply copper foil, solder, add patina, and finish out your very own tear drop!  (You will not be cutting glass in this intro class.)

This session will be 3 hours and limited to 8 students.

Closed-toed shoes are required.

WHEN
Sunday, March 15th. 1-4:30pm

*Because we have other classes in the studio, gallery doors will open 10 minutes before class start time for stained glass students.

MATERIALS

All materials and equipment are provided for in-class use. 

TECHNIQUES
Basic stained glass safety
Foiling
Tinning
Soldering
Finishing (patina, wax, etc.)

STUDENTS

This class is geared toward beginners, but we welcome experienced glass artists who may be looking for a refresher course or just a fun night out. The class is designed to provide the stepping stones for the full Introduction to Stained Glass course. You must be 14 or older to attend without being accompanied by an adult. Any adult chaperoning a class does not need to purchase a ticket if not participating in the class.

INSTRUCTOR

Tina Kiker moved to the Bridgeport/South Pittsburg area from the metro Atlanta area in 2024.  She is a graphic designer by trade and has worked with various forms of glass art for 20 years. She lives with her husband of 30 years, Greg, and their rescue dog, Cookie.
