The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is preparing a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the South Padre Island Second Access Project. TxDOT is proposing alternate connections from the Texas mainland (SH 100), across the Laguna Madre, to South Padre Island (PR 100) in Cameron County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be conducting an online virtual public information workshop on the proposed project with an in-person option.

Online commenting will start on November 5th at 5:00 p.m. and will remain open for at least 15 days. To view the virtual public information workshop, please visit the following web address on the indicated date and time: www.txdot.gov and search for the keyword "South Padre Island Second Access".   

Want to submit your comments in person? The in-person option will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the South Padre Island Convention Center, 7355 Padre Blvd., South Padre Island, TX 78597.
