*** ANOTHER VILLAGE HALL FREE EVENT ***
As you've probably noticed, Coldridge isn't afraid to try new ideas, and this is one of them...
Winkleigh occasionally hosts a 'Curiosity Café' on Sunday afternoon. It's a sort of 'show and tell' where folks bring along their hobbies and interests to show off. All very informal, no presentations, no selling, just a chance to wander around, ask questions and explore!
For example, Richard Clarke, (who runs the Winkleigh event) will be attending; Richard has four Victorian Stereoscopes and a 100+ historic photo images. (The Stereoscope turns two-dimensional photos into three-dimensional images. The effect is amazing and is similar to modern VR virtual reality headsets.)
Myself and Cliff (Little Merryfield) are Ofcom-licensed radio hams so we'll be setting up a radio station in the Village hall where you might get a chance to chat to radio hams all over the world.
We're hopinge one or more of the local research team who have been involved with the monthly church tours might pop along and tell us about the churches connection to Edward V and the Missing Princes project; perhaps one or more of our local Quilters may join us and I'm told there's a possibility of some unusual vehicles on show outside too.
So, if you have an interesting/unusual/strange pastime or hobby, please consider joining us 2-4pm on Sunday 20th July and sharing with us what you get up to, we'd love to know, just add a comment or send me a personal message so we can get an idea of show'n'tell folks.
****STOP PRESS*** The Coldridge Barbecue team will be setting up shop just outside and the village hall bar will be open too, it's going to be fun!
