- **Event Description**: I’m heading back into the Dismal Swamp, but at eastern side NC entrance point this time. 40min. Drive from Newtown Rd. In VB. I’ve never entered here & 10 miles will be the inaugural hike. There are many more miles of trails, but the next step up would be 15 miles. Maybe in the future or if you’re “strong like bull” & want to take off & go deeper in, feel free.  I’m trying to find somewhat a loop instead of a straight 0&B. 
We’ll hit portions of 6 different trails. Wish they offered a full loop to really feel way out there. One of these days I’ll reach those deeper western trails. I’m not into pedaling tho.

Meet up in the lot prior to the bridge with the Welcome Center(not affiliated with the park?‍♂️) Restrooms available. Black Cadillac with trunk open is me. 

What you carry in, you carry out. 
Snack, water, proper attire, sunscreen & bug spray always recommended. 
20min/mile pace is what we average. 
All trails considered flat & easy.
Dogs must be leashed if bringing. 
Free parking. 
Weather cancellation wouldn’t be until the morning of.
