The 2026 Spring Half Marathon Training Program kicks off on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.

🏃♀️ Our Training Method: The Galloway Run/Walk Approach
We use the proven Galloway Method, a structured run/walk interval system that makes long distances achievable for everyday runners.
Instead of running continuously, you’ll follow a planned run/walk interval cycle (example: run 2 minutes, walk 1 minute)
This method:
✅ Reduces fatigue & injury risk
✅ Improves endurance & recovery
✅ Makes training fun & sustainable
and yes, walkers are absolutely welcome!

We offer a variety of pace groups to match your speed and experience level. Each group is led by experienced mentors who will motivate and support you every step of the way.

🏃♂️ Saturday Long Runs
Long runs are the foundation of your training! We meet every Saturday morning at:
📍 FootWorks Running Store (5724 Sunset Dr., South Miami)
📅 Week 1 Schedule:
✅ 7:00 AM Start – Orientation + a 30-minute run/walk
⏳ Start times are adjusted in later weeks based on distance, with all runs finishing by 8:00 AM.

🏃♀️ Weekday Runs
Your long runs build endurance, but your weekday runs boost strength & consistency! During the week, you'll be responsible for completing two short runs per week (max 60 minutes each).
Need extra motivation? Join our Tuesday & Thursday Fun Runs at 6:30 PM at FootWorks!
