- **Event Description**: Come out for an afternoon celebrating the expansion of the infrastructure at Casco Township Nature Preserve and learn about our plan to get Back to the Beach! 

The Casco Parks & Recreation Committee is celebrating the construction of new infrastructure, restrooms, expanded parking, drinking fountains, and signage completed in fall 2025. The event will run from 2-4pm with an official ribbon-cutting and remarks from State Representative Joey Andrews at 3pm.

This event also marks the launch of our fundraising campaign, “Back to the Beach" to restore public access at the beach! Details and drawings of the beach access project will be on display. 

Other activities include:
~ a nature preserve scavenger hunt, 
~ "Back to the Beach" t-shirt sales, 
~ nature crafts provided by Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum, 
~ water safety information provided by South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES). 

Refreshments will be available for purchase from Sweet Caroline’s ice cream truck featuring locally made Ice Box ice cream bars. (And if you donate $100 or more to the beach access project, you get a free ice cream!)
