The Free Social Dance is our relaxed, welcoming community dance night — proudly presented by Fiesta Loca Central Queensland.
Formerly known as Swing Dance in the Parklands, this refreshed format now brings all our favourite styles together in one easy, social space. Whether you love Latin rhythms, Line dancing, Swing, or want to explore the elegance of Ballroom Sequence dancing, this night is about connection, movement, and having fun — no pressure, no expectations.
You don’t need a partner.
You don’t need experience.
You just need a willingness to move and enjoy the music.
Throughout the night you’ll see and hear a mix of Latin, Line, Swing, and at times Ballroom Sequence dancing, creating a friendly, open dance floor where everyone belongs. Dance as much or as little as you like, watch and learn, or simply enjoy the atmosphere and catch up with familiar faces.
This event is about community first — a place for beginners to feel safe stepping onto the floor, and for experienced dancers to relax, socialise, and support others. It’s not a class and not a performance — just good music, good people, and space to dance.
