Pencak Silat is an Indonesian, full-body, fighting form combining strikes, kicks, grappling, and throwing, in addition to weaponry.  In this seminar you will get an introduction to basic techniques and principles and you will begin to recognize the underlying advantages and disadvantages of the motion rather than memorizing specific techniques.  Included in the training will be:

Throws - Takedowns - Submission holds - Ground fighting -
Ground vs stand up fighting - Touch on edged weapon defense

Wear something comfortable. Knowing how to fall is not required but it helps. This is a beginners workshop and is open to all skill and experience levels.  Suggested for adults and mature youth. $40 per person, $35 for second family member in the same household.
