Paddle Sport Launch Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Village of South Elgin invites you to the ribbon cutting for the new accessible Paddle Sport Launch at SEBA Park, made possible through a partnership with the Kane County Development Department and funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). South Elgin was selected as one of five Illinois communities along the Fabulous Fox River Water Trail to receive this exciting enhancement.

The launch provides safe, convenient access to the Fox River for non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes—and is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring that people of all abilities can enjoy time on the water. Located on the east side of the Fox River Trail within SEBA Park, this project complements the park’s existing inclusive amenities, including accessible parking, restrooms, playground equipment, and picnic areas. The new launch supports the Village’s ongoing commitment to expanding recreational access and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles in the community.
