You’ll see how it works and learn tips for handling different types of grass. You’ll also see how we shape the ground to create swales and capture precious rain, allowing the garden to thrive with minimal watering.Activities include:Creating swales to collect rainwaterLaying cardboard to smother grassSpreading wood chip mulch to improve the soilRemoving invasive plants to let native plants flourishHelp Our Gardens Grow: We need plain brown cardboard (no plastic coating/tape, please) for our rain garden sites. If you have extra, feel free to bring it to the event! All cardboard sizes will work, but the larger the better.
