Carly is a rainforest and freshwater woman who has been living in Brisbane (Meanjin) since 2013 and is the owner of Durban Bagii, her weaving business. The art of weaving has been passed down to her by her elders and is a cultural practice she is deeply passionate about keeping alive by sharing her knowledge and creativity with communities across Australia and beyond.During the workshop, participants will be invited to create their own hand-woven raffia bracelet to take home as a keepsake.
