# Event Details - **Event Name**: Spring Introduction to Fused Glass - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 10 May, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sun, 10 May, 2026 at 01:00 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: A fun, relaxed half-day fused glass session in lovely surroundings where you can make a beautiful piece or pieces of fused glassAbout this EventIn this 3 hour introductory course you will make a beautiful fused glass picture or several smaller pieces. Guided by professional glass artist and tutor, Annette Daly, you will learn skills such as how to cut glass, how to choose the best type of glass or accessory for different effects on your piece which could be a medium-sized scene such as a seaside, marine theme, woodland or flower meadow or a personal theme. Or you may decide to make an abstract piece or several smaller pieces like coasters or bunting. You will be able to use a wide range of top quality Bullseye glass and accessory glass, some of which is unique to Annette Daly Glass to make your piece.Your piece will look beautiful framed or hung in a sunny or well-lit spot or it can be curved to be free-standing or you could purchase a beautiful oak stand at the class for your piece (available to view at the class.)This course is suitable for both beginners and those with fusing experience aged 12+ to adult. Refreshments (tea, coffee and cake) included to help keep your creative juices flowing. Don’t worry if you don’t feel you are very creative. Fused glass is a very tactile and forgiving medium and even complete beginners can get fantastic results.Your glass picture will be fired in a specialist glass kiln after the course and will be available to collect from Arthouse or my Plymouth studio two weeks or so later or it can be posted (postage charged at cost).The course will be run in a small group to ensure lots of individual attention and is subject to a minimum number of people attending.
