This hands-on workshop helps you build the confidence to make intentional artistic choices and turn simple pictures into compelling, meaningful images. What to bring: Fully charged smartphone with a camera, a cleaning cloth and a downloaded mobile editing app (Snapseed, Adobe Lightroom Mobile or your phone's built-in editor).

About the instructor:

With nearly three decades of experience as a producer and director at WNIT Public Television, Brenda Bowyer is a visual artist whose work is a creative response to the world around her. A graduate of Goddard College (M.F.A.) and Manchester University (B.A.), she wields photography, videography and sound to bring stories to life. Bowyer’s process is an act of listening, using her camera to give voice to the quiet details of the world. Her work also extends to education, where she has taught studio and field production to students and interns, sharing her passion for the craft through digital media and photography.
