Dark Skies Classroom + Field Trip

Welcome to Dark Skies Classroom + Field Trip at Gene's Camera Annex! Join astrophotographer Krista Kuskye on October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM for an exciting session to teach you all about the wonders of the night sky and how to photograph it.

Get ready to dive into the world of stars, planets, and galaxies with our knowledgeable instructors. The timing is perfect to prepare for the Orionid meteor shower and Krista will share more about that during the class. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned stargazer, there's something for everyone in this interactive class.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the mysteries of the universe in a fun and engaging environment. Enrollment in this class includes a visit later that same evening to apply what you learned under the stars with Jon Gilchrist at Potawatomi Wildlife Park in Bourbon, Indiana.

About the Instructor:

Photography has been a central part of Krista Kuskye’s life for over 20 years. Her journey began in a high school darkroom photography class, an experience that changed the trajectory of her life and revealed that photography was where she was meant to be.

Krista earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University and has been teaching photography to children and adults in her community for more than eleven years. She is passionate about mentoring and sharing the joys of photography, and currently teaches at the Kroc Center, the South Bend Museum of Art, and Ivy Tech Community College.

Her fine art photography has been exhibited in local galleries and museums, as well as nationally in California and Washington, D.C., and internationally overseas. In addition to her fine art and teaching, Krista owns Krista Kuskye Photography, where she serves her community with creative photography services. She values the privilege of meeting and working with incredible people through her craft.
