The Sorrento Solstice Festival is a free, ticketed, all-ages event that brings together fire, music, food, and community spirit on the shores of the Mornington Peninsula.The centrepiece of the evening is Bernie, a 6-metre burning effigy ignited at 6:30 PM in a dramatic fire ritual that draws the crowd together at the water's edge. It is a moment unlike anything else on the Peninsula calendar.From 2:00 PM, enjoy a full programme of live music across two stages, featuring Bonnie Anderson, Resonant Realms, Top 24 Australian Idol finalist Lachie Clue, and DJ Tim Koren. The site also includes a Silent Disco, lantern making workshop, circus playspace for kids, face painting, roving performers, artisan stalls, food trucks, and licensed bars.As the afternoon builds toward sunset, the community lantern walk makes its way to the foreshore ahead of the burn.Date: Saturday 20 June 2026 Time: 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM Location: Sorrento Foreshore, Mornington Peninsula VIC 3943Entry: Free.
