Chalen Godwin is a 26-year Law Enforcement veteran with extensive experience as both a K-9 Handler and K-9 Instructor. He currently serves as the lead trainer for Central Florida K-9’s Law Enforcement and Contract Professional programs. Chalen has a proven track record in developing working teams using effective, real-world training methods. In 1994 Chalen joined the Department of Corrections bloodhound tracking unit where he trained and assisted with tracking fugitives. In 2016 Chalen completed 160 hour tracking course and was the first single purpose tracking K-9 for the Volusia County area where he had multiple finds of lost and missing persons. In 2022 Chalen was asked to attend four weeks of instructor training with the Pennsylvania Police agencies, United States Secret Service, and Federal Security Agencies.
