Invitation to Light Up Autism Foundation’s Information Day
The Light Up Autism Foundation is proud to announce our Information Day, where we will introduce our Positive Support Program—designed to empower students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the mainstream school settings. Our mission is to support students in achieving their social, emotional, behavioural and academic goals through consistent, one-on-one support provided weekly in schools by trained aides. By working in collaboration with educators, families, and allied health professionals, we strive to create inclusive learning environments where every child has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potentials. We warmly invite parents, carers, educators, and school representatives to join us and learn more about our services and the positive outcomes we are achieving across schools.

�🔹 Mikaela Appleford, Director of Light Up Autism Foundation, sharing the inspiring story behind the foundation’s creation and its mission to provide the vital support many students with autism need—support that cannot always be offered within the limitations of today’s busy school system
�🔹 Our Lead Psychologist Merae Atkin, who develops the evidence-based Positive Support Plans tailored to each student’s needs.
�🔹 Monique Cain, a long-standing parent of the foundation, offering a personal perspective on how the program has supported her children’s growth and development This is a valuable opportunity to explore how our foundation is making a difference and how we can work together to support children with autism in mainstream education.
